Neues Paper: "A hypoplastic model for pre- and post-liquefaction analysis of sands" in "Computers and Geotechnics"

14.08.2024

Together with Jose Duque from Universidad de la Costa (Colombia) and David Mašín from Charles University (Prague), we propose an extended hypoplastic constitutive model tailored specifically for (cyclic) liquefaction analysis in sands. It comprises following salient features:

  • Novel Lode-angle-dependent function for post-liquefaction shear strain accumulation
  • Enhanced fabric change effects for accurate loading reversal predictions
  • Incorporation of the semifluidized state theory for realistic stiffness and dilatancy degradation.

With its capabilities, we deliver precise predictions of shear strain accumulation during cyclic mobility. The model has been carefully calibrated and validated against a diverse range of monotonic and cyclic triaxial tests on Zbraslav and Karlsruhe fine sand, under various testing conditions. It shows accurate description of pre- and post-liquefaction stages, as well as stress attractors.
